DUTIES

Essential Functions

The ideal candidate will deliver on the Credit Union's core values by providing exceptional and professional service to credit union members face to face or via the telephone. This position requires the ability to foster strong member relationships by effectively resolving service issues. Successful candidates will have the ability to actively sell products and services by identifying the financial needs of each member and prospective members and match the appropriate products or services. Additionally, this position is required to open new accounts (e.g. share, checking, individual retirement accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit boxes, etc.) originate, underwrite and close loans in accordance with the Credit Union's guidelines. Upon completion of account opening, the MSR must ensure all documentation is accurately prepared and in compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures. This position is responsible for meeting and exceeding individual sales goals and is an active participant in all branch sales and marketing activities. As an organization committed to growth, the MSR must enthusiastically engage in the process of increasing membership growth as well as increasing product and service penetration among existing members to ensure that the Credit Union is the members' primary financial institution. The MSR is also responsible for prompt and proper follow-up with new members as outlined in the Member Call Back Program.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a minimum of two years experience in the member service and/or teller area of a credit union or other financial institution. Additionally, this position requires professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for serving credit union members face-to-face and via the telephone, as well as demonstrates a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union. Excellent verbal communication and listening skills as well as the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with members is essential. Prior sales experience in a goal and/or commission based customer service driven environment is preferred. The MSR position prefers general knowledge of loan origination, underwriting and documentation. The successful candidate will embrace the team spirit by working hard to achieve branch metrics goals. Proficient mathematical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) is required. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize duties in a dynamic, fast paced environment are mandatory. Bilingual skills are a plus. This position requires working on Saturdays as well as the flexibility to work at any of our 9 branch locations. Essential Functions
