Membership/Convention Services Manager

Reports to: VP Marketing & Sales POSITION SUMMARY: The Membership/Services Manager is directly responsible for generating revenue through new membership sales, current member renewals and membership events. The Member/Services Manager will develop systems of keeping in contact with current members throughout the year to keep lines of communication open and demonstrate membership value. The Member/Services Manager will implement the Bureau Services portion of the Marketing & Business Plan including convention services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Membership Sales, Retention and Member Relations:
  • Work with VP Marketing & Sales to develop Membership and Services portion of the Marketing & Business Plan
  • Renew memberships to achieve 86% retention rate
  • Sign up new members based on the Marketing & Business Plan
  • Develop schedules so that members are †touched† by the CVB more than once per year
  • Utilize Simpleview software to accurately maintain member/client information
  • Generate annual renewal invoices and follow up on collection calls
  • Keep staff and current members informed of new members
Member Events Management:
  • Annual Membership Meeting (February)
  • Annual Recognition Dinner (October)
  • Out-county Chamber of Commerce Meetings (2 annually)
Convention Services:
  • Provide administrative support to sales team including but not limited to pick-up reports, information tables, brochure gathering and distribution, etc.
  • Provide all support to servicing annual Union Training Programs required by sales staff working with each group including but not limited to: Information tables, coordinate volunteers, airport signage, banners and permits, brochure gathering and distribution, assistance with union Block Parties and, all other services needed
  • Recruit, manage and coordinate volunteers for servicing events
  • Assist with visitor brochure distribution
  • Assist with proofing listings in the Visitors Guide
  • Serve as reception telephone back-up as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP Marketing & Sales
  • Report to and receive general direction from VP Marketing & Sales
  • Work with VP Finance/Administration to maintain membership dues schedule and develop/implement Member/Services annual budget
  • Provide AAACVB staff information about participation in member events and program External:
