Job Description:

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited associate, baccalaureate or master’s degree program in Nursing. Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota. CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers required.

Knowledge of current nursing practices and techniques. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary treatment team. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family member and co-workers.

We offer a welcoming and respectful environment that is stigma free to patients and their families. A variety of care programs are utilized 7 days a week, including: Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), Trauma Informed Care, complementary therapies (such as pet, music and yoga therapies), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), sensory integration interventions, pool therapy and comfort rooms. Patients on this unit are 18 years and older and are experiencing an acute mental health illness of moderate acuity. In addition, patients may have medical/surgical conditions that are being treated and require intervention.

Nursing specialty certification is greatly valued and strongly encouraged.

BSN preferred. Must have at least one year of current mental health nursing experience in an acute care setting. No new grads. . MH Cluster float position.
