Fremont Hospital, a
subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is a private,
modern 96-bed behavioral healthcare facility that provides services
to adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. Services offered include
treatment of psychiatric conditions, chemical dependency and
treatment of 'dual diagnosis' (co-existing psychiatric condition and
chemical dependency). A variety of treatment programs are available,
including inpatient care, partial hospitalization (day treatment) and
an intensive outpatient program.

Fremont Hospital
currently has a Mental Health Technician position available.

We are seeking candidates with previous experience working
with the care of patients. This is a great opportunity for those
studying the field of psychology and wish to get a head start on your
career. This is an entry level position, but we prefer candidates who
have a basic understanding of mental illness.

The Mental
Health Technician (MHT) functions as an active part of the treatment
team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and
role modeling to patients ranging in age from adolescence through
geriatrics. Mental Health Technicians work under the direction and
supervision of a Registered Nurse.


Education: High School Degree or equivalent; Degree
from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational
therapy or related discipline preferred.

training in group dynamics and facilitation may be substituted for
education. Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with
knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding
of mental illness preferred. Experience in group facilitation,
program implementation; knowledge of psychotherapeutic interventions
and psychiatric diagnosis preferred.

Requirements: CPR with AED (CPR/AED)
