Summary of Job Function

Prospect and close national sized merchant processing relationships to meet and/or exceed established sales targets. Develop and implement a business plan to target and acquire clients that generate $25 million an up in credit card volume.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Identify and close business development opportunities and lead assigned to the National Sales Team to meet and/or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement a targeted sales plan to prospect and close desirable and profitable merchant customers to deliver revenue over the course of the plan duration
  • Under the supervision of leadership, plans, coordinates and facilitates sales plan including client visits, product roll-outs, marketing initiatives, conferences and demonstrations
  • Works with TMS national sales team to determine the sales and marketing efforts for multiple products processed on various TSYS platforms.
  • Possesses a fundamental knowledge of all applicable TMS products, applications, modules, and systems.
  • Serves as a liaison between TMS and the credit card industry executives, operations managers and directors.
  • Builds communication and coordinate efforts with clients, TMS client managers, conversions, production support and product owners to effectively introduce sell and implement all TMS Products.
  • Understands and facilitates TMS corporate goals and strategies to meet departmental goals and sales directives for national sales team.
  • Works with senior members of TMS sales team to negotiate deal points and contract issues with all involved parties (clients, attorneys, product owners, vendors, etc.) to achieve optimal results. Receives approval on all deal points and sales proposals from senior Sales team before communicating terms to the client. Conducts contract negotiation calls/meetings.
  • Works with TMS marketing team in the development of presentations, collateral material and communication tools to support marketing efforts
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with key executives and decision makers within client and TMS organizations.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and competitive products in order to strategically identify and target sales opportunities.
  • Works to develop initiatives to improve communications, processes and workflows with clients and within TMS to create and maintain positive relationships.

Education and Experience

Four year college degree and six or more years professional experience or eight or more years professional experience is required. Demonstrate ability to develop RFP’s. Strong leadership, presentation and communication skills. Previous work history with the development and implementation of detailed business plans. Previous work experience in the development and maintenance of strategic relationships and networks.
