As a member of the Enterprise Server Team ensure company Servers are secure and available. This will be accomplished through proactive administration of the Enterprise Active Directory, effectively managing the system backup process and participating in the implementation of a DRP. This individual will need to stay knowledgeable about current Microsoft based server technologies; and stay abreast of industry best practices in security techniques and methodologies. This individual will work, as a member of the Operations Team to deliver highly available systems that balance security with business needs. They will provide guidance and consultation for server related questions, and will be key in the administration of Microsoft Exchange, Lync and email archiving using Symantec Enterprise Vault. This position will play an important role in the consolidation and migration into a global Exchange instance and subsequent global support model. This position will participate in the off-hours support services rotation.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Very strong background in Microsoft Exchange 2007 administration, including design, deployment, backups, restores, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong background with email archiving technologies, Symantec Enterprise Vault preferred.
Strong background in Microsoft Lync 2010 administration and Powershell Scripting within Exchange preferred.
In-depth technical knowledge of operations and security.
Strong background in Active Directory with experience in multiple domain environments.
Must have working knowledge of Servers, RAID disk storage systems, backup technologies, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Terminal Server, Active Directory 2003.
Experience with Citrix XenApp, Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager 2007, HP Server and Blade Technologies, Cisco Routers and Switches is preferred.
Experience supporting and enforcing data retention policies preferred.
Experience with SAN technologies, VMware, vSphere and replication methods is preferred.
Stay knowledgeable of best practices on installed products and integrate into environment as appropriate.
High degree of self-motivation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written and electronic).
Ability to lead project or other small teams.
Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Experience with the integration of systems acquired via acquisition.
Ability to work in a results orientated, team environment.
Capable of supporting multiple problems/tasks simultaneously.
Minimum of 5 years experience in server administration.
Bachelors Degree in related technical area preferred.
