Delivers messages, mail, documents, and packages. Must be able to obtain a driver's license.
An employee n this role may perform the folowing: miscellaneous errands, such as lifting documents, carrying mail, sorting incoming and outgoing mail, obtain receipt for articles delivered, and keep a log of items received or delivered, or deliver items to offices and departments. The courier may use a vehicle to perform these duties.
Operates Office Equipment, (e.g., copier, mailing machine, x-ray scanner, barcode scnaner, etc.)
Responsible for x-ray scanning of incoming mail and internal distribution items.
Performing the various tasks necesary for the successful completion of contractual Mail Room responsibilities including but not limited to:
Log Packages on delivery sheets
Screen, sort, inspect, and prepare mail for delivery
Pick up outgoing mail and parcels
Operating Mail Metering Equipment
Inventory and proper change of custody of items received by the mail room for delivery to customers.
Accurately complete mileage and time logs on a daily basis and submits them to supervisor on a daily basis.maintain the interior and exterior if the vehicle.
Maintain the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
Sign vehicle and keys in and out. Accountable for vehicles that are signed out in their name.
Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, etc.
Asists in the pick up and deliveries of packages and equipment.
Read and adhere to all memos and directions of the supervisor.
Drive automobile or light truck to deliver and pick up messages, documents, packages and mail from an originating point to a delivery /pick up point.
May occassionally transport office personnel and visitors.
Intermediate skills with MS Office Suite products required. Must have valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle report. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or designated individual. All candidates must pass the required background screening and drug test as well as be able to pass a Government Security Clearance.
