The primary focus of the Meter/Contract Billing Specialist is to obtain and enter meter readings for Customer contracts working closely with the Contracts Billing Department.
Visit accounts for meters
Enters meter reads into computer system
Review service history for meters
Call, fax or e-mail customers for meters
Monitor missing meter report
Review web sites daily for automated meters
Must submit all reports and paperwork in a timely manner
Prepares and Prints Invoices
2+ years experience in customer service and phone work
Reliable Transportation to obtain meters from customer locations
Flexibility to travel throughout California if needed
Experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel, and able to create and maintain spreadsheets
Must type 35 words per minute
Strong relationship management skills/customer service skills, with Customers and Co-workers
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to self-supervise daily activities and manage priorities.
Must display strong team mentality, and desire to help co-workers maximize their own potential
Must be a quick learner
Displays initiative and has the ability to think outside the box to arrive at new and progressive solutions to problems
