Coordinates activities of workers within the business unit engaged in operating a variety of CNC type machining centers and secondary equipment in which to fabricate thermoform and block type sterilization trays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepare stations for setups with all tools as required, prior to setup.

Maintain labor adjustments daily in Vantage.

Coordinate repairs and maintenance of tools and resources, as required.

Communicate with Scheduler any and all down time, known and unknown, of machines and


Responsible for the training of all employees within the business unit.

Work with Planners, Schedulers, Manufacturing Engineer to continually improve operating

equipment efficiency (OEE), on-time delivery, and reduce dock to dock.

Primary objectives are to improve OEE, ensure customer on-time delivery and reduce inventory.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in overseeing employees in CNC Machine Department.

Minimum 3+ year(s) machine shop experience . One year certificate from college or technical school preferred. CNC Programming of Yasnac and Fanuc control. Ability to setup and operate CNC type vertical milling centers, and secondary support equipment. Ability to Inspect complex components using standard inspection gaging and equipment.


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and Trigonometry


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
