SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing the production and delivery of high quality feed to Tyson growers at the lowest cost possible while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. This requires keeping a daily drug inventory for FDA compliance, obtaining daily driver reports to ensure DOT compliance, and managing personnel in the Housekeeping and Preventative Maintenance departments. Other responsibilities include coordinating production schedules and corresponding inventories, holding monthly safety meetings to correct problems in both Mill and Trucking, and quarterly planning of the budget and preparation of C.I.R.'s. Other duties include handling all capital improvement budgeting and requests, keeping upper management informed on a weekly basis, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
Education: Special knowledge in a particular field such as accounting, data processing, or electronics. Knowledge is normally acquired through two years of college resulting in an Associate's degree or equivalent. Experience: 5 + years. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills such as generating simple letters, spreadsheets, or creating simple queries. May require knowledge of the Tyson Business Computer System. Certifications: None Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year. Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities. Team members selected for this position could be expected to participate in and complete the PPF Training and Leadership Development Program which consists of a formal two week orientation at the plant of assignment, a nine week off-site basic training segment in Fayetteville, AR, and a six week plant technical and leadership segment at the plant of assignment. Team members selected will be expected to be an active participant, complete all assignments, and achieve all training expectations in order to achieve optimal performance.
