Responsible for managing the activities within a sales support unit. Essential duties to include, but are not limited to:
Develops processes for consistency.
Manages sales support activities which may include one or more of the following functions: broker call center, sales support staff, field service, sales training and technology, broker administration, proposals, product development, or material distribution.
Responsible for developing and implementing cross-functional process re-engineering efforts to improve Large Group organizational performance. Includes development and maintenance of varied technological solutions.
Responsible for preparing budget and forecasting.
Provides superior quality of service, or responsible for ensuring that
Support/Sales Associates provide new and/or existing accounts superior quality of service related to sale of new product lines, enrollment, renewals and other consultative and administrative support. Provides or reviews information highlighting any benefit enhancements
and changes, WellPoint procedures, etc.
Remains informed of various enhancements to WellPoint product lines. Includes working with Sales Managers and Sales staff regarding renewals of existing accounts.
Establishes and maintains effective business relationship with brokers and existing accounts within sales office market area.
Responsible for hiring, training, motivating, developing performance appraisals, and counseling staff.
Responsible for management of various projects.
BA/BS and 3-5 years professional experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
Health insurance experience preferred.
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required. Strong analytical skill and PC capabilities required.
Strong tactical planning and organization skills, and managerial experience skills required.
