Works in collaboration with a physician to diagnose and manage treatment of health center and doctor’s office patients. The MLP's scope of responsibilities include therapeutic health service that focus on health restoration, health maintenance and disease prevention. Provides health education and counseling to individuals and families.
Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Current active licensure to practice as a MLP (NP/PA) in the state of Maryland. BLS certification required. ACLS certification perferred.
Completion of an approved MLP program by the appropriate Maryland licensing Board. For NP's successful completion of national certifying examination acceptable to the Maryland State Board of Nursing. Minimum or 3 years relevant exprience in a professional role, a minimum of 2 years experience in a clinic or an established doctor's office environment preferred.
Able to use computers. Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends English. Physical requirements for this position includes lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, stooping, kneeling or crawling, motor coordination, communication skills, visual acuity.
Works within outpatient health care environment.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to bend body downward at waist
