Job Description:
The Mini Mart Retail Agent is responsible for greeting
customers, answering telephones, processing sales
transactions; receiving orders and processing lottery.

Job Requirements:Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years retail experience preferred
  • Must be proficient with computers and POS systems.
Physical requirements:
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force
occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or
constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
General requirements:
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both
verbally and written, with all level of employees
and customers in an attentive, friendly, courteous
and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding,
and clarifying concerns raised by employees and

  • Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations
to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify
problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including
anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving
problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex
information, data, etc. from various sources to meet
appropriate objectives.
  • Must be detail oriented, with a high degree of
financial accuracy.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related

Fundamental Requirements:

  • Greet and welcome all customers.
  • Process transactions for all purchases.
  • Be knowledgeable about and provides basic product
information for customers.
  • Assist the sales effort by providing information and
communicating potential customer needs to retail
  • Handle all administrative functions including
maintaining inventories, answering telephones;
processing of lottery and fuel pump transactions.
  • Receive, tag and place new merchandise on floor.
  • Ensure shop is prepared for proper opening and closing
each day.
  • Assist in setting up and maintain the cleanliness and
orderliness of displays.
  • Assist with inventory as needed.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
