The Mission System Instructor will be responsible for the support of training activities for a U.S. Army program. Primary responsibility includes the training of mission system operators and maintainers to support an airborne intelligence system. This person will be crossed trained in order to support other duties in the absence of other instructors.
Provides classroom training of established courseware.
Responsible for updating training materials and maintenance of training records, as well as administrative duties associated with the program.
Maintains the training schedule for the program.
Conducts all necessary training planning to ensure that resources and materials are available to properly train aircrews and ground personnel on how to operate and maintain the aircraft systems and related ground systems.
Responsible for operation and troubleshooting of the equipment in the SIL and other training aides.
Conducts refresher training courses and prepares appropriate training manuals.
Prepares all instructor materials.
Prepares all student materials (i.e., course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course evaluation forms).
Capable of identifying and correcting platform system / equipment problems.
Interprets reference material, technical manuals, and wiring/block diagrams for use in training materials.

Prior military service with mission system ops/maint skill-set required.
Prior military instructor background is highly desired with the ability to develop new course materials utilizing the ISD process.
Experienced in operating / maintaining complex ISR systems.
Military Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) experience is preferred but not required.
Bachelors of Science degree required. 8-10 years directly related experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
Must be proficient with standard MS Office Software (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Must be willing to deploy OCONUS for a duration not to exceed 90 days at a time unless otherwise directed for emergency purposes.
May be required to support operational or sustainment tasks and maintain flight qualifications per AR95-20.
Must have a current Top Secret Security clearance.
