SNVC is seeking a Mobile/Wireless Comm. Network Specialist to work with and support the Sr. Mobile/Wireless Comm. Engineers with the following: Wireless Access Points, Antennas, Antenna attenuation, OSI model, MAC Layer/MPDU, network characteristics analysis, design of network topologies and site configurations, and installation, transition, and cut-over of network components. Deploy P25 tactical communications systems.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Troubleshooting, repair, installation and customer training on Motorola Land Mobile Radio products. The equipment includes Conventional, Trunked, Simulcast, secure and digital technologies. Must be able to verbalize and communicate concepts and recommendations to the customers.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance
Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
Must have 2-4 years of experience as an electronics or field technician
Must have experience working with RF Infrastructure Technologies to include Motorola SmartZone, Smartnet, Console Systems, ASTRO Conventional and Trunked equipment is preferred
Must have superior working knowledge of one or more of the following; Motorola Conventional, SmartNet, Centracom and MCC Console systems, Secure and ASTRO Digital systems and installation procedures
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Service Software products
Must have working knowledge of at least one of) the following: P25, LMR, Smart net, Smart Zone, RF infrastructure, ASTRO systems, radios and consoles.
Must have working knowledge of Motorola systems permitting the individual to assist in the design, troubleshooting and maintenance of Motorola's product lines. Applicant needs to have a though understanding of Motorola RSS/CPS software and how to program subscribers and infrastructure equipment.
Excellent communications skills and the ability to present a professional image is highly desired
DHS suitability is highly desired
