Ke`aki Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Software Developer working in the Virology Division of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) at Fort Detrick, Frederick, Maryland . Candidates must be US Citizens.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Participate as a member of the Advanced Information Technology Group (AITG)

Analyze project requirements; develop use cases; provide technical reviews; create, develop and execute test plans; and analyze, design, write, test, troubleshoot and document code and processes for mobile computing applications.

Develop software development templates utilizing state-of-the-art software technologies, documenting processes and standards in accordance with industry best practices to ensure quality and minimize software development risk.

Generate design documentation, including the UML diagrams, functional design documents, test plans, entity-relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, deployment diagrams and user acceptance standards.

Where applicable, ensure that applications adhere to the ADP security program according to DOD Instructions 8500.2 (Information Assurance) and 8510.01 (DIACAP), and to all applicable HIPAA requirements.

Write required DIACAP application documentation.

Document and publish minutes of team or project meetings.

Attend various meetings: management, technical and administrative.

Develop briefing and reports detailing recommendations and information for technical and management briefings.

Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, a related field or documented relevant experience, may be substituted for the Master’s Degree.

Knowledge and Experience:
6 years or more of experience in System Architecture Design, Software Configuration Management, Database Design and Management, and Software Engineering.

4 years or more of object-oriented design methodologies and programming experience.

4 years or more experience in software development for Android, iOS and Windows Mobile platforms.

4 years or more experience developing in JAVA / J2EE / JavaScript / C / C++ / Objective C / HTML5 / PHP / CSS.

4 years or more experience working with Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL.

2 years or more experience working with Google Android, iOS and/or Windows Mobile SDKs and NDKs.

Knowledge and experience in full lifecycle software development and maintenance of Information Management and Information Technology programs with heavy emphasis on Object-Orientation.

Knowledge and experience using secure Web-based applications.

Knowledge and experience using SOAP and RESTful web services.

Knowledge and experience using jQuery UI / jQuery Mobile and Dojo frameworks

Knowledge and experience using mobile development frameworks like Mono, Appcelerator, CORONA, gamesalad, etc.

Demonstrated strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Knowledge and experience with software DIACAP requirements – a big plus.

Experience with source control such as; Subversion, CVS, source Safe, TFS – a plus.

Experience developing with open source software – a plus.

Knowledge and experience with HL7 Standards – a plus.

Development Tools: Google Android, iOS and Windows Mobile SDKs and NDKs and mobile development frameworks like Mono, Appcelerator, CORONA, gamesalad, phonegap, etc.
