The Spanish Program in the Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at Union College (Schenectady, NY) is seeking a visiting candidate from any field and period working on innovative trans-Hispanist approaches, a person with engaging and deep cross-disciplinary research and vision. The candidate is expected to contribute to a dynamic undergraduate Liberal Arts program and demonstrate very strong language teaching skills and experience at all levels as well as interest in working closely with undergraduate students. Candidates with experience and interest in the digital humanities, global studies, visual, cultural, or media studies, or with ample community service and outreach expertise are strongly encouraged to apply. Two-year appointment beginning in September of 2013. Ph.D. in hand by August, 2013. Candidates must have native or near native fluency in Spanish.
