As the Monetization Director, you will drive notable partner relationships with publishers and supply aggregators who leverage OpenX ad technology and services for monetizing their digital content.

Monetization Directors must be able to execute complex business and product initiatives seamlessly to deliver – if not exceed – the financial objectives of partner relationships and OpenX. The Monetization Director should also serve to counsel partners through monetization growth opportunities and expand these relationships to benefit partners in improving their revenue and operating efficiency.

Responsibilities

After initial partnership opportunities are determined, the Monetization Director will program manage all pre-launch activities necessary to integrate OpenX technology with partner businesses and ad platforms. Such efforts require proficient cross-functional program management skills. This person will partner with the Technical Account Management team to drive specific product deployment projects, while the Monetization Director ensures all supporting services needed for the partnership are delivered in coordination with product initiatives for a successful overall launch.

Post-launch, the Monetization Director oversees all day-to-day operations of the partner relationship including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and seamless execution of operational deal commitments. In many cases, additional internal OpenX teams are marshaled for delivery of these discrete services, but the Monetization Director will oversee overall execution and navigate any roadblocks to maintain high partner satisfaction. The Monetization Director is accountable for achievement of revenue goals and other agreed partner KPIs.

In concert with day-to-day leadership, the Monetization Director will proactively identify, develop, and support revenue growth opportunities while building a relationship of trusted advisor to our partners. This person will collaborate with Business Development to develop and operationalize a strategic blueprint for partner adoption of OpenX’s publisher-facing products. The Monetization Director will also navigate any operational challenges that may emerge seeing issues through to successful resolution for the partner.

Last, success in this role will hinge up strong cross-functional relationships with internal OpenX stakeholders including marketplace management, support, product and finance teams.

Qualifications

Proficient relationship management and/or operations leader with strong interpersonal skills

Self-starter who thrives on innovation and driving ideas forward. Effective problem solver.

Proficiency working cross-functionally and experience in running large-scale programs is a must.

Results-driven and committed to identifying and tackling new business opportunities, driving new process efficiencies and building high performing teams

Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority. Strong analytical and strategic thinker

Ability to interact effectively with all levels within partners’ businesses as well as within OpenX

BA / BS degree, desired but not required in engineering, finance, economics

Strong knowledge of online advertising business.

5-7 years of relevant experience in in digital advertising operations or sales, publisher monetization and yield management, digital advertising technology sales or services
