Shift: Evening, weekends required. .
Workweek: PT, 24 hrs/wk
Performs defined clerical and receptionist functions in order to provide an organized and efficient atmosphere in which to deliver patient care. Work is performed under the supervision of a registered nurse and in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements and the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital and the nursing department. Provides basic nursing care to patients. Monitors a safe and clean environment in order to assist nursing staff in the routine care of patients and in the organization of the nursing unit. May be required to work in multiple facilities.
Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1 year
Certification Requirements: Valid Nurse Aide certificate in NYS
Experience Desired: EKG course, knowledge of medical terminology.
Skill Required: Successful completion of certified nurse aide training program or of first year of RN or LPN nursing school. If CNA training program has not been completed, must provide proof of schooling as noted above.
