Job Description:
The GSB Group, Inc., specialized in providing quality financial IT professionals, is seeking a Business Analyst with experience on LPS’ Lending Space mortgage system, for several of our valued clients.

The Business Analyst is an individual who is a highly experienced/hands-on professional working directly with clients in a business consultant/business systems analyst capacity; with knowledge and experience related to the Lending Space Mortgage LOS as well as the mortgage lending industry. The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding client's requirements, processes, and methodologies.

This role is a contract position 4-6+ months – ability to travel is required.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Liaison between the business and development teams to track and report status

Writing business and/or functional requirements

Analysis of customer requests for system modifications

Communicate the most effective way to utilize the Lending Space mortgage system to satisfy business requirements, which may be a combination of both standard and/or custom functionality

Hold sessions with project team to build business/functional requirements documentation

Utilize business/functional requirements to develop test scripts

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
Professional self-starter, who works independent, and understands a sense of urgency when working to bring solutions to clients

Understands the definitions and configurations of business parameters within Lending Space

Understands the process of troubleshooting software systems

Ability to interact with internal and external customers at various levels

Technical aptitude, a plus

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Experience:
3-5 years minimum of hands-on experience with Lending Space LOS; both end user and administrative functions

3-5 years of experience in software implementations with clients in a consulting/analyst role

5+ years minimum of mortgage lending experience

Experience and knowledge of software testing processes such as writing and performing test plans and test cases

Experience working with vendors and external clients

Experience in imaging integrations, a plus

Experience in Loan Delivery Interfaces (Fannie and Freddie) and Secondary marketing, a plus

Hands-on knowledge and experience with Interfaces for Credit Reports, Flood Certifications, Mortgage Insurance Certifications, Fraud Reporting, and Automated Underwriting

Experience and demonstrated knowledge within the mortgage industry

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent job related experience.

Ability to travel necessary.
