The Defense Personnel Services Business Unit has approximately 2000 employees and operates at hundreds of locations across the United States and overseas in Korea, Japan, Italy, and Germany. We provide personnel services to military personnel, military families, and civilians working for the military. Our capabilities address a wide range of managed services, as well as the complete military lifecycle which includes recruitment, to active duty through retirement.
Possesses detailed knowledge of computer operating systems, and communication systems in the CAST. Responsible for all levels of maintenance to include: organizational, intermediate, and depot, and parts procurement, maintenance on all CAST equipment. Shall provide for initial start-up of the CAST training system, system load, system readiness checkout and insertion of initial training requirements for the CAST terrain board and maps (using unit provides maps). The technician will operate and maintain the main CAST computer; configure the communications network, provide communications instruction to the using unit; provide instruction on the operation of the fire-marking system; electronic warfare and possible configurations to the using unit. Maintain cleanliness of the CAST equipment and central processing systems. Maintain all CAST technical documentation provided by the government, and devise an asset control system to maintain accountability of all CAST equipment. He is expected to be located in the CAST facility at all times during operation, and shall report any system discrepancies or equipment shortfalls to the COR.
Required Skills and Experience:
Civilian Education. High School Diploma or equivalent.
Military Education. Minimum two years experience in military training and education.
Military Operational Experience. Minimum three years operational experience in the Marine Corps communication and artillery units is preferred. Direct participation in real world operations is desired.
Proof of Security Clearance. Must be eligible for at least a secret clearance.
