Job Description

Carrols Restaurant Group is seeking a Multi-Unit Manager to lead management teams in an assigned district. We are one of the largest restaurant companies in the U.S. and a proud franchisee of Burger King Corporation. Carrols is a growing company with many opportunities for moving up. The Multi-Unit Manager achieves and exceeds the district sales and profit plan through motivating restaurant management teams to achieve operational excellence, and active involvement in local store marketing and community activities. We are looking for a confident individual with multi-unit management experience, a solid knowledge of restaurant administration and strong leadership skills.
Multi – Unit Manager (Food Service)

Job Responsibilities

As a Multi-Unit Manager you will be responsible for managing operations as well as motivating and developing management in order to achieve the District Profit Plan. You will manage one restaurant to begin and then when ready oversee multiple units.

Specific duties:
  • Reviewing and analyzing sales projections and expenses in order to prepare the District Profit Plan
  • Assuring that customers are treated promptly and courteously; products are of specified quality and quantity; equipment is maintained properly; sanitation standards are met
  • Selecting, developing and maintaining proper staffing through planning in order to ensure efficient operations
  • Directing and coordinating Managers in community relations activities
  • Identifying, coordinating, and participating in effective local store marketing programs
  • Ensuring that members of the management team are provided the developmental and training opportunities necessary to maximize the use of their abilities
  • Administering, analyzing and enforcing appropriate levels of financial controls to ensure proper accountability of Company funds
  • Hiring, terminating, giving performance appraisals, merit increases and promotions (within policy) for all first and second Assistant Managers and Manager Trainees
  • Coordinating and conducting meetings to assure timely and accurate communications
  • Conducting and administering restaurant visitations on a timely basis in order to evaluate the progress and performance standards in the operation

This role requires a confident leader, strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills. Each restaurant’s performance level is determined by team members; to be successful you must be able to effectively coach, mentor, train and correct managers and crew members. It is essential that you lead by example demonstrating integrity and character as you make ethical decisions involving our business and customers.

Additional Manager requirements:
  • 2 year degree
  • 7 years of restaurant management experience
  • 3-5 years of multi-unit management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of restaurant/fast food industry
  • Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Flexibility - ability to adjust to changing assignments
  • Ability to maintain productivity, composure, and a pleasant attitude under pressure
