Additional information is available at www.blxgroup.com. Financial services firm seeking Consultant to support its Financial Advisory Services to tax-exempt borrowers. The applicant should have strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills along with the ability to supervise complex analyses, and provide project management for specific financing requirements. The applicant is also expected to understand and effectively communicate features of complex debt financing models and supporting analysis to clients and colleagues Responsibilities:
Perform ongoing financial analyses relating to new tax exempt bond issues including present value, yield and cash flow analyses
• Perform debt structure modeling utilizing Munex software
• Assist in developing an understanding of client’s need that is the subject of the engagement
• Responsible for determining how changing interest rates and market conditions influence transaction outcomes
• Understand the big picture and provide ideas and recommendations regarding the client’s needs and the presentation of the data and proposed solutions to the client
• Identifies and summarizes current and potential alternatives, processes, and outputs
• Understands major deal points, plans, time frames and trade-offs while ensuring client understands the final results of the transaction
• Reviews detailed specifications for implementation of the selected debt transaction
• Oversees production of reports, timelines, and graphics prepared by others
• Prepare Power Point presentations for business development and client meetings
• Attend business development and client meetings
• Builds effective relationships with others to develop a “joint” vision. Works together with other consultants and project team managers in various offices to ensure the client’s financing, analysis or investment needs have been met
• Assist in preparing responses to financial advisory RFPs
• Participates in industry and other professional activities to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of public finance advisory or investment banking experience
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics or related field preferred
• Strong quantitative problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, and Munex
• Outstanding project management skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Demonstrate unwavering integrity and instilling confidence in others
