Assistant/Associate Professor (2 positions). The Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education at East Carolina University is seeking applicants and nominations for two tenure-track, nine-month, full-time faculty positions available August 12, 2013. Rank and salary: Commensurate with qualifications.
Responsibilities: Provide leadership in the department's three program areas; teach graduate courses in the program areas; engage in an active research and publication agenda and grant writing; demonstrate ability to connect teaching, research, and service to leadership practice in the field; serve as dissertation chair for doctoral students and doctoral dissertation committee member for doctoral students; and provide service to the university, community, and profession.
Minimum qualifications include: Earned Ed.D. or Ph.D. from an appropriately accredited institution in Educational Leadership or a related field; excellent oral and written communication skills; evidence of outstanding teaching, research, and service.
Preference given to candidates who have successful experience as a school leader and knowledge of the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate.
