SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Under moderate supervision, performs multiple support staff duties required for a satellite/small branch and acts as liaison to home office personnel.
Answers telephones and greets clients/guests.
Accurately processes order tickets (or calls in/faxes orders to main branch) and follows up where necessary.
Books in cash/checks, issues receipts and accurately balances daily.
Books in securities, issues receipts and accurately balances daily.
Assists in the opening of customer accounts and processes changes.
Performs various administrative duties (i.e. typing, filing, etc.).
Responds to customer inquiries.
Acts as liaison between branch/satellite and home office personnel (i.e. questions, paperwork, etc.).
Trains any additional support staff on daily work assignments.
Orders materials/supplies needed for the branch.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent; 2 years college or business school certificate preferred.
2-3 years securities industry experience; prefer 5 years.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
Organization – Being able to arrange work area, materials, data and records in a clear and easily retrievable manner.
General understanding of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Basic understanding of the investment industry
A solid ability to use mathematics to solve problems and arrive at correct answers.
Proper use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly
Ensuring the proper use of one’s own time and the time of others. Includes prioritizing work.
Able to communicate well with Supervisors and Peers.
