NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECH - PRN
POSITION PURPOSE: Provides high quality diagnostic Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals on a variety of patient age groups. Provides principles of radiation protection to each group. Assists in the diagnosis and management of illness and injury by providing high quality imaging.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares radiopharmaceutical for administration by injection, ingestion and inhalation. Demonstrates proper use of imaging equipment and procedures associated with imaging patients of all ages. Provides appropriate documentation. Coordinates exams with other departments to provide for efficient procedure timeframe and high quality patient care. Works closely with radiologist to identify abnormalities resulting from exam.
Education & Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) from an accredited School of Radiology and/or 1-2 year formal school for Nuclear Medicine Technology, and one year related experience and/or training.
Licensure, Certification & Registration
Must hold a current certificate in C.P.R. Must hold a current license or be eligible for license in the state of Texas. Be in good standing with the ARRT and certified as a CNMT
