As a management team member, under the leadership and in collaboration with the Clinical Director, shares the accountability for the 24 hour management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, the management of human, fiscal and other resources, the development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, strategic planning and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the selected unit of responsibility and Allen Health Systems as a whole.
Current license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing.
Satisfactory performance in staff nurse or charge nurse role for a minimum of five years required.
Demonstrated competence in leadership skills.
Ability to plan, direct, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients.
Able to meet the physical demands on file in the Human Resources Department.
Has current knowledge of healthcare trends and issues and relates same to hospital and work area environment.
Possesses active listening skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
