This position is a strategic and integral part of the Kellogg’s Sales team. Working closely with key Sam’s Club contacts, you will lead and own the responsibility of driving profitable business growth, within high volume categories, and influence all purchasing decisions. Your outstanding business acumen, senior level selling skills and effective communication will foster consensus building required to meet revenue goals for both Kellogg’s and Sam’s Club. In your role as a National Account Executive at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

Achieving stated objectives and P&L metrics

Working closely with the Sam’s Club Team peer NAE’s, Business Planning, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Customer Marketing

Penetrating and developing all Sam’s Club customer personnel in all Kellogg categories, including Buyers, Assistant Buyers, Inventory Control Specialists, Assistant GMM, and Region GMM

Working with Sam’s Club Third Party Demo Company to maximize sales results

Developing Region specific business plans, while also integrating Sam’s Club Corporate National Programming that will impact core distribution and rotational SKU merchandising that will drive share and GSV growth

Tracking execution of all Kellogg brand objectives ensuring volume and financial targets are delivered

Leading the development of an annual Sam’s Club specific plan that sets objectives to support all brands through merchandising, demo’s, and all available Sam’s Club merchandising vehicles

Leveraging Sam’s Club Corporate approved mandatory programming, to build further sales success beyond approved activity – maximizing all sales results

Communicating with Kellogg’s internal partners and key customer contacts ensuring communication of program timing, required inventory, and associated trade spend with all initiatives

Leading post promotion analysis and revising future programs as necessary for optimal results

Conducting formal “Sam’s Club centric” business reviews and updates with key Sam’s Club personnel to review business objectives and progress against objectives and recommending actions to exceed mutual goals

Leveraging all available resources to maximize results, including Senior Manager Business Planning/Strategy & Senior National Account Executive Corporate expertise, Team Sales Analyst, Kellogg’s on-line resources, Category Management, Consumer Insight, and Marketing experts to drive business results

Providing ongoing product improvement and new launch recommendations to Team leadership, ensuring Sam’s Club opportunities are maximized


As well as being a creative thinker and strategic leader with a passion for team success, to be considered for this position you also need to meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree

Headquarter Account Management and/or Category Management experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Advanced negotiation skills

Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software applicationsExperience selling at Headquarter Level in the consumer packaged goods market

Syndicated data knowledge (IRI, Nielson, or other syndicated data)

Club, Large Scale Mass Merchandiser, or National Retailer experience


Limited travel will be required as part of this position.
