SUMMARY
Manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through broker representatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develops, coordinates, and implements strategic sales and marketing plans directly or through brokers to accommodate corporate goals.

Assist in preparation of annual and long-range marketing and sales plans for assigned customers

Assist in budget recommendations and regularly monitor performance.

Conduct customer visits directly or through brokers to achieve corporate plans and to develop positive relationships with established / target customers.

Represents company at trade association meetings to promote corporate goals.

Prepares reports, recommendations, and analysis of assigned customers including trend analysis.

Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

Manages new product development activity including cross functional team development when projects are initiated from the customer.

Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages broker(s) as assigned. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training brokers; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required
• 4+ years experience selling to Food Service Customers
• Experience calling on Food Service National and/or Regional Chain Account Customers required
• Customer headquarter sales experience required
• Broker management experience preferred
• C-Store experience is a plus
• Position to be located in Plymouth, Wisconsin
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current / valid driver's license. Up to 60% travel.
