JOB SUMMARY
The National Director - Academic Affairs will ensure ethical conduct, sound business practices, student success and team development, with focus on the Mission and Core Values. In this position, the National Director - Academic Affairs provides overall academic leadership, vision, goal setting and their resulting outcomes. The development and implementation of near-term and long term plans for the growth and development of student learning and achievement, advancement of a strong and experienced faculty, and the on-going oversight of compliant educational practices, resulting in successful student outcomes are also primary responsibilities of the National Director - Academic Affairs.

Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
Lead the Academic Department at the corporate level, providing leadership and oversight to ensure successful student outcomes and compliant campus operations 
Meet educational outcomes objectives for the programs offered across the company, and ensure sound academic operations 
Lead services and activities to ensure a quality educational experience for our students 
Review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet operational and administrative deadlines 
Lead the on-going development and consistent implementation of campus curriculum, course learning materials, educational resources, and student assessment 
Ensure that instructional materials and equipment are sufficiently comprehensive, similar to that found in common occupational practice, are sufficient in quantity, are properly maintained and are in working order 
Lead ongoing faculty assessment and professional development activities that are appropriate to the school’s size and educational offerings to ensure an active and engaged classroom experience for all students 
Establish departmental priorities and goals, and implement the actions aligned with the larger company strategy 
Monitor and ensure departmental compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory bodies’ guidelines, along with internal policies of the company 
Ensure that each team member has the knowledge and skill to successfully meet the requirements of their position through hiring, training, coaching, and supervising of personnel 
Develop and implement educational activities both strategic and operational, including metrics to track and evaluate progress 
Monitor attrition analysis and assist with campus issues relating to retention 
Coordinate strategies with campus leadership to achieve desired organizational results in areas of customer satisfaction, student retention, graduation rates, employment rates, and satisfactory student progress 
This position, in conjunction with Executive Directors and Directors Education, will oversee faculty recruitment, orientation, course assignments, academic management including, professional development, evaluation, and curriculum implementation controls

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 
Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time, dependent upon the needs of the campuses 
Master’s Degree in a field of education from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education 
At least three (3) years teaching experience in a post-secondary education setting 
At least three (3) years of leadership experience in post-secondary education setting within the past seven (7) years 
Knowledge of and experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in adult education or related field 
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse groups of employees and customers 
Demonstration of highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude 
Ability to lead and work in an observation/coaching style environment 
Capability to prioritize, accept responsibility, and work within deadlines 
Superior organizational and problem-resolution skills 
Demonstrated commitment to customer service 
Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to develop, motivate, and mentor staff 
Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office 
Must have past records of integrity that would ensure compliance with accrediting standards and applicable federal, state, and local requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
Ph.D. or Ed. D. in a field of education from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education 
Four or more years teaching experience in a post-secondary education setting 
Previous Director of Education/Dean/Academic Management experience at the post-secondary level 
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry
