National Sales Team Leader - Commercial Channel

Are you an entrepreneurial Sales leader that enjoys driving new business development with major commercial customers, creating new possibilities exploding the full potential of the hottest food categories and brands in the US market? Interested in working within a dynamic and top CPG company? The Dannon Company is hiring a National Sales Team Leader, Commercial Channel, to strategically develop the presence of Dannon frozen and fresh yogurt products in the foodservice retail restaurant chains.

In this role you will be accountable for:
  • Drive strategic new business development with key targets in the US territory to explode the presence of Dannon fresh and frozen products with commercial restaurant chains and food courts.
  • Lead, develop and implement the long term vision and strategy for the Commercial sales organization in the US.
  • Participate in the overall strategic and operational management of the business as part of the Foodservice Management Team.
  • Lead the development of clear annual Sales Plans and drive the implementation through the sales team with the proper tracking. This implicates a clear business development strategy as well as clear growth plans with existing customers.
  • Understand new customers insights and needs and develop the proper and customized yogurt product solutions with clear financial ROI analysis with the support of a full cross functional headquarter team.
  • Develop strong and strategic relationships with current customers to build Joint Business Plan to ensure business growth and continuity including but not limited to marketing activation & new products.
  • Build solid internal relationship with the global foodservice team as well as with the US Executive Team to influence and move project forward. Present and update senior management on business development initiatives.
  • Manage a sales team of 2 direct reports for the US territory. Ensure the right recruiting and development of talents through continuous coaching.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 10+ years of sales experience in CPG in the commercial restaurant channel demonstrating continuous and regular growth in responsibilities
  • Must have previous experience and strong acumen with key accounts
  • Strong Business Development experience and ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Team/people management experience; Demonstrated ability to train and motivate a remote direct/indirect sales force
  • Entrepreneurial/Business Development spirit with the ability to both look at the big picture and get into the details of the execution
  • Strong leadership and influential skills with open, collaborative communication style and exposure to Top Management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations effectively
  • Accustomed to working in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred
