Job Description:
We are the 2nd largest for-profit leader in early
childhood education headquartered in Novi, MI. We are
currently seeking Network/Cisco Engineer who will be
responsible for enhancing and maintaining network
infrastructure. As a network engineer, your primary
focus will be WAN/LAN Maintenance, firewalls, and Load
Balancer set-ups.
Responsibilities
  • Manages projects by developing detailed project
plans, procuring necessary resources, monitoring
progress, and providing regular status reports to
management team
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex network problems for
the following technologies; Cisco 2800's, 3800's,
7200's and 7500 series routers. , Catalyst 2900's,
3700's and 6500s series switches
  • Acts as a focal point enterprise network problem
resolution and infrastructure.
  • Evaluate current infrastructure technology, conduct
research, recommend, and implement innovate
infrastructure technology that can enhance the
reliability, security, productivity, and efficiency
of the IT infrastructure
Provides network support.
  • Acts as a technical expert and is a go-to resource
for the team.
  • Works independently, receiving minimal supervision,
with no instruction on routine work and general
instruction on new assignments.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis
requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of design, as
well as, on-going operation and administration of
infrastructure technology

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science or related
field,
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a 300+
enterprise environment. (Cisco 2800's, 3800's,
7200's and 7500 series routers. , Catalyst 2900's,
3700's and 6500s series switches)
  • CCNA or Cisco related certification.
  • Strong project management experience including
deployment, disaster recovery and documentation
experience.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation
communication skills. Ability to work and
effectively communicate with executives,
enterprise-wide and group management, peers, and
outside vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills,
organizational skills, and ability to analyze
business problems and opportunities.
  • Strong ability to work on and prioritize multiple,
concurrent projects while meeting aggressive
deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as
collaboratively with little supervision.

Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a Microsoft environment with
Microsoft Certification.
Previous experience working as a Unix Administrator
