Overall Assignment Description:
Provide support to the NEA IPO.
Assists the PM with Network, Security, and Computer System integration and provides end-to-end project management support of the life cycle system integration.
Systems Integrator is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the customers requirements architecture and interfaces.
Provide a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components as well as a comprehensive understanding for Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) regulation and guidelines as well as their compliance.
Responsible for coordinating with other team members, contractors, mission partners and DoD organizations to ensure problem solution, appropriate risk reduction, regulatory compliance and user satisfaction.
Coordinate the fielding of the NSG Expeditionary Architecture (NEA) systems through communications/networks planning and analysis, architecture assessments, theater volumetrics, schedule and risk assessments, documentation, and logistical activities as it relates to existing and future capabilities
Develop communications and data integration strategies/roadmaps
Assist with evaluation of communications/network and system plans and determine dependencies and impacts to the project
Identify communications/network and common services requirements to meet the project objectives and support documentation development
Coordinate with customers to prepare sites to receive project/segment to include: conducting site surveys; conducting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs); and coordinating O&M activities.
Maintains and monitors network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability and capacity management.
Assists with configuration management, creates, drafts, and/or, reviews program documentation, and assists the lead developers and/or PM with project control gate activities utilizing the PMF process
Advises the Program Manager (PM) throughout the acquisition life-cycle, to include review of Requests for Change (RFCs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Crisis Requirements (NCATS), related security Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities, development, testing, transition, and operations
Provide advice and support to manage the program throughout the life-cycle including cost, schedule, and performance
Provides SME support to the Government and program office representatives at meetings
Assist in writing programmatic documentation, conduct/coordinate technical exchange meetings, track and follow up on action items, take meeting minutes, and facilitate meetings
Develop, coordinate and review communications/network architecture designs in coordination with NEA security engineering and NEA external partners
Monitor project/segment development to maintain a knowledge of current status by attending program reviews, monitoring testing, and monitoring schedules
Skills/SME Required (M=Mandatory; D=Desired):
(M) Related professional experience must total 5+ or more years of System Integration, System Engineering, and/or Communications/Networking experience.
(M) A bachelors degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical degree, or equivalent experience.
(M) At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering/Integration and at least 2 years of demonstrated experience as a task/project lead.
(M) Excellent organizational and managerial skills. Ability to track multiple, distributed tasks and ensure that all project team members are moving forward and working to schedule and that management is kept aware of issues and risks as they arise
(M) Ability to work independently and as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities
(M) Strong oral presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills
(M) Familiarity with the Intelligence Community and IC products/usages
(M) Working knowledge of TCP/IP, ATM, Gigabit Ethernet, LAN/WAN networking, and IPv6
(M) Knowledge of SIPRNET, JWICS, GIG BE
(D) Knowledge of NGA processes and tools, to include Systems Engineering, Acquisition, Configuration Management, Readiness, and Security (Xacta tool)
(D) Demonstrated understanding of the NGA security C&A process
(D) Knowledge/ experience with net-centric architectures
(D) Knowledge/experience with the Global Information Grid (GIG) and DISA
(D) Cisco and Marconi training/certifications (CCNA, CCNP, ATM LAN/WAN Certification)
(D) Demonstrated understanding of the geospatial intelligence mission and its contributions to the IC
(D) Demonstrated understanding of DoDs GEOINT Tasking, Processing, Exploitation and dissemination processes (TCPED)
(D) Knowledge of NGA Configuration Management (CM) processes
(D) Knowledge and or experience working with NSA systems/processes.
