Ciber is searching for a Network/Security Technician that will be primarily responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting the client's network infrastructure, including critical network security environments.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Day-to-day support of the corporate network security environment, gateway protection systems, IDS/IPS, local area and wide area networks
Planning for and replacing equipment as part of the quarterly lease return schedule
Support for client based VPN connectivity
Assisting with special projects in the Networking/Security areas of expertise, dependent on need
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or associates degree in related Information Technology field preferred
Experience managing, monitoring and designing Enterprise Network Security technology including firewall, mail gateway, web proxy, IDS/IPS and related technologies
Experience with administering and maintaining Cisco hardware/software
Experience with troubleshooting layer 2 and layer 3 data/security networks and technologies
General systems management and scripting – including Windows and Linux systems
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers and technical support staff at remote locations including team members in foreign countries
Highly self-motivated and flexible
Ability to manage priorities for timely completion of assignments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Application/web development & architecture experience a plus
Basic understanding of wide area network and VPN technologies preferred
