Job Description The Network Administrator is a senior member of our support department responsible for configuration changes and troubleshooting of network equipment in response to help desk support tickets. This person is also responsible for interfacing with the network engineers to resolve complex problems and connecting with end users to understand how the network can better support their business objectives. This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities, however they will be responsible for training and assisting support analysts in their job duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintains all components of the network including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Responsible for deployment of network gear to remote sites
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining network diagrams
  • Monitors and reports the status of the network to engineering/management
Responsible for maintaining a high level of network security in coordination with IT Security Team


Bachelors or Associates degree from accredited college or university plus 2 years experience as a Help Desk Analyst or equivalent years work experience

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability understand and write technical documentation and communicate with non-technical end users via phone or email. Ability to present training classes for help desk employees and interface with upper level managers in person or on the phone.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to determine the nature and severity of problems quickly and determine an appropriate plan for problem resolution.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Drivers License

CCNA required

Computer Skills:

Ability to make basic configuration changes and set up Cisco router and switch technology, Cisco wireless, Palo Alto firewalls. Windows operating systems, TCP/IP, MS Office, and Visio

Environment/Physical Demands

Duties are performed primarily in an office environment. Extensive travel may be required. Must be able to lift equipment over 30 lbs.
