DESCRIPTION

&61558;Design, build and implement network systems for Gyrodata, Inc. global operations, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all local and wide area network connections, corporate servers, associated software and communication links

DUTIES

Duties / Essential Functions

  • Troubleshoot network performance issues
  • Analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions
  • Maintain and demonstrate effective Disaster Recovery Capabilities and documentation
  • Manage network and PC hardware and software
  • Install, configure, and support local and wide area networks
  • Monitor networks to ensure network availability and reliability and perform necessary maintenance
  • Assist, advise and mentor PC and Network Support Personnel and Network Administrators I and II
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures
  • Manage performance tuning and capacity planning activities to enhance the efficiency of the network resources
  • Analyze user support statistics systems logs and other data and recommend appropriate measures to increase capacity and efficiency of networks
  • Assist Global ICT Supervisor with global software licensing compliance
  • Provide training to end-users on third party applications software
  • Provide training to end-users on Gyrodata, Inc. bespoke software
  • Research and investigate projects to enable strategic growth and improvement of networks
  • Assist with IT vendor contract renewal
  • Assist in the preparation of IT budgets
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with Gyrodata, Inc. end-users to proactively design and implement new projects and network improvements
  • Use skills and experience to improve and innovate IT Department projects
  • Comply with applicable safety standards and maintain a safe working environment
  • Comply with applicable quality assurance standards
QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS or related field from an accredited 4 year college or university
  • 7 or more years experience with PC, server, and network support
  • Check Point CCSA/CCSE Certification, preferred
  • Strong written and oral Spanish communication skills, preferred
  • Experience with PC/network systems analysis and design
  • Experience of Server Virtualisation with VMWare
  • Experience with capacity planning and utilization monitoring
  • Knowledge of network management practices and procedures
  • Experience with most current version of Windows servers
  • Experience with most current version of Active Directory
  • Experience with most current version of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with the most current version of Windows Desktop Operating System
  • Experience with thin client/terminal server technologies (i.e. Citrix)
  • Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and WINS
  • Experience with most current version of Exchange Enterprise administration and configuration
  • Experience with most current version of SQL Server
  • Experience with file storage management
  • Experience with Enterprise disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience with networking hardware equipment such as hubs, switches and routers
  • Experience with Hardware Firewalls (i.e. Checkpoint FW-1/VPN-1)
  • Experience with Enterprise Telephony Solutions (i.e. Alcatel)
  • Microsoft MCSE
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Availability to work during non-office hours and weekends as necessary
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Ability to use a computer for accessing and sending e-mail, opening and revising documents, accessing internet and web-based Gyrodata, Inc. systems, including SharePoint, Agresso and ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
