Network Engineer applies the principles of science and mathematics to develop economical solutions to technical problems. Precisely specify the functional requirements; design and test components and or systems; integrate components to produce the final design; and evaluate overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. In addition to design and development, may work in testing, production, or maintenance. A network engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting computer communication networks within an organization or between organizations. Their goal is to ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users (staff, clients, customers, suppliers, etc).
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent; Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering desirable
Two to three years related experience; Knowledge of Networking Concepts .
Experience in troubleshooting of multi vendor network environments
Certifications, Licenses, etc:
Juniper Networks Certified Professional Enterprise Routing and Switching (JNCIP-ENT)
