This candidate will be responsible for managing the Desktop Environment.
Testing/remediation/repackaging of our enterprise application installation packages
With general direction and periodic review you will plan and perform requirements and feasibility analysis, project definition, design, construction and implementation of new information systems infrastructure components and modifications to existing infrastructure systems to enhance and support computing processes and meet business requirements. You will resolve technical issues and problems and recommend cost effective solutions.
Desktop problem determination and resolution; ability to identify and isolate problems related to the desktop platform and/or application software; 2nd/3rd level
Strong knowledge supporting upgrade, break/fix of Office 2007/2010, Acrobat Pro v9+, Internet Explorer, etc.
Strong knowledge with SCCM 2007+ client troubleshooting and remediation
Experience with WMI troubleshooting and remediation
Expert knowledge of Windows XP/Windows 7 Operating System usage, troubleshooting and support
Device driver troubleshooting, maintenance, and support
Troubleshoot and resolve calls escalated to Engineering
Perform root cause analysis
Active Directory/Group Policy knowledge in a Windows 2008 domain
Strong knowledge of VBScript or comparable scripting language (AutoIT, SMS Installer, etc.)
Excellent communication skills whether written or verbal
Strong change management and documentation skills
