Job Description: Responsible for determination and deployment of robust, stable, and manageable computing and network services. Manage technical projects. Determine site computing and network server strategy . Research new technology/products/tools. Monitor and perform capacity/feasibility studies and resolve network capacity issues. Identify, develop, and deploy tools supporting network server services. Perform impact analysis of new technologies on environment. Analyze and troubleshoot complex and advanced problems. Plans and schedules work to meet deadlines established by others to ensure the completion of several related tasks. Uses judgement in data analysis to develop and design solutions for moderately complex processes.
Location is in Oregon only. Seeking full time position as an IT NTS LAN Operations Engineer to work with a dynamic team of 15 local support engineers supporting a large, complex, and challenging environment. Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for the Network & Telecom operations including determination and deployment of robust, stable, and manageable network services. Building and providing ongoing operation support to the campus Data and Voice networks, and deployment of Campus Network & Telecom projects/activities such as: Hands on activities, designing and maintaining existing networks Administration of Cisco, Extreme, and HP based network devices. Respond to customer support requests as they occur Lead Design Center labs and DCs systems network services Technical projects management Monitoring and performing capacity studies and resolving network problems Analyzing and troubleshooting complex incidents and problems Maintain and develop Network Automation/Management tools Qualifications: Demonstrated skills in IT Operation ownership, customer service, knowledge of network basics, IP based routing and switching, Security, Firewalls and WLAN. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification is preferred and may be required. Additional qualifications include: Excellent English and interpersonal skills.
