Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Network System Administrator to support the Marine Corps Information Operations Center (MCIOC) program. Responsible for providing communications and IT support for the design, installation, testing and sustainment of the customer's communication nodes, automated systems, and associated equipment. This position is located in Quantico, VA.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Operating and maintaining a complete network management system including primary and limited functional backup network operations centers, as well as in-band and out-of-band network management systems. The network management systems shall be capable of monitoring and controlling of remote devices, real-time service utilization and status, monitoring and displaying system performance parameters such as network latency and response, and allow the contractor to identify systems problems and, to the maximum extent possible, resolve them before they impact the customer.
Test and document components of the communications architectures.
Creation of new user accounts; Laptop Configuration and Support.
Configuration, adjustment, and maintenance coordination with in support of Blackberry Server
Arrange for and coordinate with hardware maintenance personnel for the repair of Network/IT equipment.
Administration of network storage arrays and tape backup systems; Administration of the Email Archiving System.
Support to Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS).
Maintaining the Baseline for all Laptops and Workstations.
Administering the Network Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP).
Administration of the Storage Area Network Fiber Channel Routers and switches.
BS degree and 2 years of related experience is required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of BS degree.
Experience with the following is required: MS SMS, SUS, Windows desktops, laptops and servers; SAN, Disaster Recovery, COOP; Blackberry server, routers and switches.
Experience with Military Information Technology Systems and SOP's.
Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+, GSEC, SCNP or SSCP) or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment is required.
Active TS/SCI clearance required.
