The Instructor will be a member of the New Equipment Training Team for PM Soldier Equipment (PM-SPIE/NET), working directly for the assigned New Equipment Training Chief (military or civilian). The principal duties of the Instructor will be to certify, instruct and train Soldiers on all equipment items managed by PM-SPIE.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, perform duties as a New Equipment Trainer (Instructor); formally trained by any US Army Basic Instructor Training Course and properly certified by the New Equipment Training Manager for PM-SPIE; be able to present documented proof of being a former Instructor; must be able to travel monthly to conduct and support training missions, system testing’s, training development, logistic demonstrations, Material Fielding’s, coordination visits and Instructor and Key Personnel Training; must have some experience in developing Training Support Packages consisting of (multi-media training support products, system technical documentations that support New Equipment Training and unit sustainment training) in accordance with the US Army Training and Doctrine Command; must have a minimum of 4 years Instructor experience; must be a graduate of a Department of the Army Training and Doctrine Command sponsored Instructor Qualification Course within the last 5 years; must not have been relieved of duties or have had their Instructor status terminated for alcohol or any substance abuse reason. Experience in training on electronic, night vision and sensor equipment a plus. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Education Requirement: Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience Requirement: Must be able to work as part of a larger team and be able to take direction from government/customer counterpart; must have an understanding of Military operations, training Soldiers and working with Senior Military Leadership. Capable of becoming level II certified in Acquisition and/or Logistics; have at least 1 year of related experience in one/some of the following fields: logistics support including material goods, personnel, transportation, maintenance and repair of systems throughout life cycle, development of documentation and test plans, ergonomic/human performance analysis, feasibility analysis, logistics planning, requirements determination, policy standards/procedures development, long term reliability and maintainability, training development and execution, outsourcing, issuance and fielding of equipment, accountability, and documentation analysis.
