The Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner provides direct clinical care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsible for the patient throughout the course of treatment, including reviewing clinical history, providing the physical examination, making the diagnosis, and treating both chronic and episodic disorders. Works in collaboration with the team and seeks the advice of a team physician or consulting physician whenever a case falls outside the scope of his/her expertise. The Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner may be involved in consultation and research activities.
As required by licensure.
Minimum of two years of experience as a pulmonology nurse practitioner.
Current applicable state RN license required.
National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) required.
Current applicable state license as a Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NP-PP) required.
Basic Life Support (CPR).
