This individual is required to have expertise in the care of a specific population of patients or in specialized function. This individual provides direct services to patient/families and consultation and education to staff and other health care professionals. This individual establishes and monitors standards of care related to a specialty area and participates in research and other scholarly activities. This individual contributes to the creation and promotion of an environment of evidenced-based practice and interdisciplinary care delivery.
This individual is required to have experience in the identification of specific patient needs and an ability to implement quality standards of nursing care in cardiac and radiology interventional patients within the clinical practice.
3-5 years experience doing cardiac or radiology procedures, inpatient acute care required. Excellent customer service skills, proficient in the English language, good attention to detail, and ability to problem solve effectively, ability to follow and write policies and procedures and excellent communication skills. Computer skills and experience required, software used includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel – as well as all applicable automated medical record software
Required Education: RN – BSN. Prefer certification in interventional nursing.
