Under clinical supervision of the Medical Director, the Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner provides general wellness, clinical and medical care for Occupational Health patients (primarily in the industry setting). The Nurse Practitioner will have primary responsibility for planning, coordinating and implementation of an established wellness program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with policy development, education, monthly and annual reports and statistics on the wellness program and other services. The Nurse Practitioner will treat all occupational injuries and employees with acute, minor personal illness/injury. May need to order labs, diagnostic tests, therapy, xrays, MRI/CT, etc. Evaluate and treat BBP exposures and other infectious disease processes. The Nurse Practitioner will issue work clearances and may be asked to conduct physicals, vaccines, respiratory fit testing, drug screens and other employment related health services.
Generally Monday through Friday, as scheduled
RN degree and graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program. All appropriate state licensure and certifications. State of South Carolina prescription privileges is required.
Prefer 1-2 years clinical experience in Occupational, Emergency Medicine or Primary Care. Proficient Computer Skills also required.
