License to practice professional nursing in the state of New Jersey
Licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in the state of New Jersey
National board certification as a Pediatric Primary Care or Family Nurse Practitioner.
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Masters degree in Nursing.
Minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience preferred
Advanced physical and psychosocial assessment skills for patients and families across all developmental levels
Critical analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to interpret laboratory and radiographic data
Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Ability to work collaboratively through consultation with other health care team providers
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
All CHOP employees who work in a patient building or who provide patient care are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
Under appropriate supervision, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the clinical evaluation of patients. Participates in professional leadership activities including quality improvement, education and consultation to nursing staff and contributes to the palnning, implementation and evaluation of APN standards of care and practice.
Position requires rotation between all 3 sites, located in Somers Point, Cape May and Smithville, New Jersey.
Full time, 5 days/week + 1 Saturday/month
