The primary responsibility is teaching for the Practical Nursing Program. Faculty loads are normally scheduled on an average load of fifteen (15) credit hours per semester. Office hours, advising and collateral duty assignments are maintained. Teaching schedules may include day and evening classes and multiple campus and off-campus assignments. Opportunities for summer teaching based on student interest.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing with commitment to obtain Master's degree in Nursing within four (4) years to retain employment. Two (2) years of recent clinical experience. The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass the college's pre-employment security screening.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing. Minimum of two (2) years of recent teaching experience in a nursing program; and previous medical-surgical experience. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in both the didactic and clinical settings, including course and curriculum development, student assessment, and course evaluations. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations in an urban setting. Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities, including use of nursing simulation scenarios. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
