Coordinate and maintain the Nursing Lab used by nursing faculty and students in the nursing program.
Design and deliver nursing simulation modules, utilizing high-fidelity patient simulators.
Work closely with nursing faculty to develop and implement simulations and other lab activities for nursing students including setting up goals, objectives, and outcome criteria for scenarios.
Schedule use of the lab for faculty, students, and affiliate agencies. Provide remediation for students needing extra help with nursing skills. Flexible day/evening schedule with additional hours to meet the needs of the students and lab maintenance requirements. Order lab supplies and equipment to ensure that the Nursing Lab operates in a cost effective, efficient manner. Supervise work study students assigned to the Nursing Lab. Advise 20-22 nursing students. Assist writing proposals for funding (grants) to enhance laboratory setting and equipment.
Must have current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Massachusetts;
Master’s degree in nursing required;
2 years of full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent; Evidence of clinical competence in nursing practice; Highly organized and detail oriented, as well as creative and imaginative thinking skills;
Simulation experience is highly desired;
Advanced computer skills and ease with learning new technology; Previous teaching experience preferred; Current CPR certification necessary.
