We are seeking applicants to provide medical nutrition therapy for patients based on nutritional screenings and assessments. Monitor patients' dietary needs through the development of menus, nutrition care plans, and nutrition education. Assess nutritional status of patients and participate with the treatment team to develop and document nutrition therapy plans. Identify individualized patient goals and strategies. Utilize the CBORD computer system to enter patient diet orders and information. Assist in the development, testing and implementation of patient menus and diet analysis. Provide in-service and nutrition education programs and supervise students and dietetic interns.
Registration or eligibility for registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required within 1 year of employment.
Experience in the field of nutrition gained through work as a dietetic intern, experience in public health nutrition, institutional dietetics, nutrition research, or related nutrition field highly preferred. Experience supervising also strongly preferred. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is desirable.
Shift: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (flex)
The successful applicant must pass a criminal background investigation, drug screening test and employment reference check. The applicant must have the ability to perform at the level of physical demands noted on the Employee Work Profile and the verified ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
