Adecco Engineering & Technical has an immediate need for an experienced Operations Analyst [regulatory compliance standards]. This is a very long contract position (2 years or more years). This is a key role for our client. In this role, you will truly make an impact for years to come!

Position Overview:
This position interprets and assesses National Energy Regulatory Commission (NERC) reliability compliance with modeling standards applied to various transmission modeling techniques used in planning, operations and marketing and sales. The analyst assists management with decision-making, policy formulation, process development or management compliance strategies.
Review the latest developments on new NERC developments and supports process implementation including addressing day-to-day compliance questions from certifying Subject Matter Experts (SME) and coordinates compliance strategy and supporting evidence with Corporate Compliance.

Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Reliability Compliance

Coordinate, implement and execute regulatory compliance standards from NERC, DOE, WECC and other governing agencies/organizations.
Observe current systems and processes in operations; gather and analyze information about each of the parts of the component problems; use a variety of sources to examine the relationships
Analyze information obtained from compliance and management and improve reliability compliance.

Position Requirements:
Education Requirements:

Associates degree in business administration, management, accounting, computer science or a related field is highly desirable. Associates degree can substitute for 2 years related experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Organizational Development or a related discipline is preferred. Bachelor’s degree can substitute for 4 years related experience (see below

Related Experience:

A minimum combination of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training is desired.

Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of operations analysis and progressively more technical in nature. Associates or Bachelor’s degrees can be substituted for a portion of the experience requirements.

Additional Experience Requirements: ’

3+ years experience at a major utility with at least 10,000 MW generation/load working
3+ years experience working with Resolver or other similar compliance reporting system
3+ years experience using performance management software such as Performance Benchmark (PB)Views
2+ years experience in coordinating compliance in a highly process driven environment that has a high risk/penalties if processes are not followed
Experience with control center functions and systems utilizing modeling transfer capability
Experience in Operations Analysis – Compliance Coordination (Regulatory Compliance); experience with development of regulatory implementation policies, procedures and guidelines in a government power utility
Experience collecting and filing compliance artifacts needed for compliance certification.
Knowledge and experience dealing with audits and auditors
Experience working in a high availability environment
Knowledge of configuration management concepts and practices; knowledge of program/process design.
Requires advanced knowledge of automated data systems to include SharePoint, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio), (MS Office 2010 proficiency required), simple database interfacing, and a high degree of efficiency in technical dynamics of software output (e.g. use of advanced printing such as to plotters, capabilities of cross-software embedding for purposes of presentations, technical webinars, etc.)
