Odyssey House has an immediate opportunity for an Occupancy/Compliance Specialist to join our team. This person will be responsible for the compliance of all tenants move in and re-certifications for our Housing properties.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform file audits and advise employees of errors and/or missing documentation. Work with Directors.
Review household move in or household recertification to ascertain that Section 42 program, HOME programs and or/NSP program guidelines are being followed.
Follow up on applicants or existing household preapprovals. Maintain file.
Conduct Tax Credit Inspections for assigned communities.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or High School Diploma with 3 years of experience. Tax Credit Certification required.
Ability to read and interpret documents/tax credit documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Required continual attention to detail.
Knowledgeable of IRS Section 42 Program, Home Programs and NSP programs.
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest , commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information. Good communicator.
